Privacy Policy
How Pulse collects, uses, stores, and protects your data, including the Pulse app for Microsoft Teams.
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pulse ("Pulse", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information. It applies to the Pulse platform and all of our related services, applications, websites, and integrations, including the Pulse app for Microsoft Teams (the "Teams app") and the Pulse notification bot. Later references to Microsoft Teams are shortened to "Teams".
Scope
Pulse is a project and OKR management platform that connects strategic goals to day-to-day execution. The Teams app is a notification integration: it delivers Pulse notifications (for example, comment mentions and replies, issue assignments, check-in digests and reports, insight reports, and activity on objectives, key results, projects, initiatives, teams, requests, and releases) to users inside Teams. The Teams app does not store your work data; it relays notifications generated by your Pulse account.
Information we collect
We only collect the information needed to operate Pulse and deliver notifications to the right person:
- Account information — your name, email address, and the workspace and teams you belong to. We use your email address to match your Pulse account to your Teams account so notifications reach you.
- Workspace content — objectives, key results, metrics, projects, issues, comments, check-ins, and related activity that you or your teammates create in Pulse.
- Notification metadata — the events that trigger a notification, your notification preferences and schedule, and delivery status (for example, whether a message was sent successfully).
- Technical data — log data such as timestamps and error information used to operate and troubleshoot the service.
We do not collect payment or financial information through the Teams app, and we do not transmit financial information through the bot interface.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver notifications to you in Teams based on your notification preferences.
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Pulse platform and its integrations.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
- Respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace content for advertising.
Data storage, retention, and deletion
- Storage — Account information and workspace content are stored on secure, access-controlled systems. Notification delivery is processed in transit and is not retained as message content beyond what is needed to confirm delivery and troubleshoot failures.
- Retention — We retain account information and workspace content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
- Deletion — When you delete your Pulse account or workspace, or remove the Teams app, the associated personal data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with this policy and applicable law. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Security
We apply industry-standard security controls to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), scoped access controls, logical separation of each organization's data, and authenticated access to the services used to deliver notifications. Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
Data sharing
We share data only as needed to operate the service: with infrastructure and messaging providers (such as Microsoft, to deliver notifications in Teams) that process data on our behalf, and where required by law. These providers are bound to handle data consistent with this policy.
Your choices
- You can configure which notifications you receive and through which channels in your Pulse notification settings.
- You can sign out of the integration or remove the Teams app at any time. Removing the Teams app stops Pulse from delivering notifications to Teams.
- You can contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
Children's privacy
Pulse is a workplace product intended for use by organizations and is not directed to children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
