Project graph

The graph shows progress toward completing the project and estimates when you will finish.

Overview

The graph plots Scope, Started, and Completed from the project's issues. Points are weekly. A predicted completion date appears once the project has at least a week of history and a weekly velocity.

Personal issues and sub-issues are left out of the totals. If the project's team uses estimates, the graph counts estimate points; otherwise each issue counts as 1. Unestimated issues follow the team's estimate settings.

Where to find it

Open the project and show the details sidebar. The graph is under Progress. If historical data cannot be loaded, Pulse shows current issue statistics instead (Historical progress is temporarily unavailable).

Show project statistics on the Projects list is a different control — it summarizes health, initiatives, teams, and leads across the list, not this graph.

How to read it

Scope is all issues in the project. Started is work that has begun. Completed is done. A target date, when set, appears as a marker. Milestone dates can appear on the same plot.

Hover a point for exact values. Under Breakdown, slice remaining work by Assignee, Labels, Cycles, Type, Status, or Priority, then Filter or See issues.

Live predictions

Predicted completion uses recent weekly velocity. In-progress work counts as a quarter of its remaining estimate; the rest of the backlog counts in full. The graph also shows optimistic and pessimistic dates around that estimate.

Predictions need enough history. A brand-new project, or one with no completed work in the last weeks, will not show a date yet.
