Security & Access

Manage your password, sessions, passkeys, and two-factor sign-in.

Overview

Open Settings → Security & access (/settings/account-security). These controls are for your account. Workspace-wide sign-in policy lives under Settings → Administration → Security.

OAuth clients you authorized are under Settings → Connected accounts — see Profile. Developer-owned OAuth apps are Settings → Applications.

Sessions

Active sessions ends every Pulse session on your other devices and browsers. Choose Sign out everywhere, then confirm Sign out of all devices?. You will need to sign in again everywhere, including this browser.

Passkeys

Passkeys let you sign in without typing a password. They work in major browsers, mobile operating systems, and many password managers. New passkey registers another device. You can Rename or Revoke a listed passkey. Revoke cannot be undone.

You can register up to 10 passkeys. Adding or revoking one asks you to confirm it is you — password, an existing passkey, or a recent Google or GitHub sign-in.

Adding passkeys is not available in the Pulse desktop app. Use the browser at https://app.trypulse.tech. Passkeys already registered still work on the devices where you made them.

Your fingerprint or face never leaves the device. Pulse only stores a public key. Password and other sign-in methods keep working.

Password

Password → Change Password. Enter the current password, then a new one that meets the length and character rules shown in the dialog.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication requires a one-time code from an authenticator app at sign-in. Enable it here, scan the QR code (or enter the key manually), verify the 6-digit code, and save the recovery phrase — it is shown only once.

If the workspace requires two-factor authentication, you cannot turn it off. Workspace managers set that under Settings → Administration → Security.

Turning it off needs your password and a current authenticator code or recovery phrase. There is no self-service recovery if you lose both the app and the phrase.
