Import from Jira
Import issues and projects from Jira into Pulse through workspace import settings.
Import from Jira
Workspace admins can import historical work from Jira into Pulse. Pulse does not offer a general data export from this page — import is the supported migration path documented here.
Open import settings
Settings → Administration → Import / export (`/settings/import-export`)Only workspace managers with import access see this section.
Start a Jira import
Open Import / export in Administration settings.
Choose Jira to launch the import assistant (/settings/import-export/jira).
Connect to your Jira site with the credentials and project mapping the assistant requests.
Review mapping preview — issues, statuses, and teams — before confirming.
Run the import and monitor progress from the assistant or Previous imports on the Import / export page.
Import history
Past runs appear under Previous imports on /settings/import-export. Open a row to inspect details for that import id (/settings/import-export/history/{importId}).
After import
- Verify team mappings and workflow statuses match how your teams work today
- Re-link Key Results or initiatives manually if strategic tracking was outside Jira
- Use Development links separately for ongoing GitHub/GitLab activity
Permissions
Import requires workspace administration permission. Failed or partial imports remain in history for troubleshooting — contact your workspace admin before re-running the same source project.
Next
- Administration — workspace settings overview
- Teams — adjust teams after import
- Issues — verify imported backlog
