Key Results

Measurable outcomes that track progress on an Objective, updated manually or from a connected Metric.

Overview

Key Results are measurable outcomes that track progress toward an Objective. They can be connected to Metrics for automatic updates or managed manually. Each Key Result can have multiple Initiatives associated with it, representing the specific work items needed to accomplish that result.

Create a key result

Click the + button or "Add Key Result" on your Objective's detail page. Fill in the key result name (required), target value, measurement type, and optional Metric connection. To edit, click on the key result or right-click and select Edit key result.

Metric Connection

A Key Result can:

Be connected to a Metric (value updates automatically)
Or not be connected (value is entered manually)

Measurement Types

A Key Result can be measured using different methods:

Progress is calculated as current value divided by target value. Use for goals like "Reach 1000 users" or "Achieve $50k revenue".

Initiatives

Multiple Initiatives can be defined under each Key Result. Initiatives are the work items that need to be completed to achieve that Key Result.
