Overview
A key result is a measurable outcome under exactly one objective. There is no workspace Key Results sidebar row — open the parent objective, then add or open the result.
The property chip is labeled Status. The values are health: On Track, At Risk, Off Track, or Completed. Default on create is On Track. That is not the objective's lifecycle.
Progress is computed from baseline, current, and target (and the measurement type). You do not type a progress percentage.
If you cannot add a key result, ask a workspace admin to enable the feature, or ask your team manager for create permission.
Using key results
Use 2–5 results per objective. Each one should prove the outcome, not list the tasks to get there.

- Use an initiative for the workstream that moves the number
Create a key result
Open the objective. On an empty list click Add first key result. After the first one, click Add Key Result.
The composer needs a title and the parent objective. Set baseline, current, and target. Measurement type defaults to Final Value. Health defaults to On Track. Weight defaults to the remaining allocation, up to 20.
You can also link a metric and one or more initiatives in the same composer.
Key result properties
Health
The Status chip is health: On Track, At Risk, Off Track, or Completed. Update it as confidence changes. Completing a key result does not complete the objective.

Owner
Optional. The person responsible for the result. Team scope comes from the parent objective.
Weight
A 0–100 weight. Objective progress is a weighted average of Key Result progress. The objective shows how much weight is already allocated.
Baseline, current, and target
The three values that drive progress. Direction (higher-is-better or lower-is-better) is computed from baseline versus target.
When a metric is linked, baseline, current, and unit sync from the metric. You can still set the target.
Measurement type
How progress is computed. Default is Final Value.
- Final Value — progress from baseline toward the target
- Stepwise — the target is split across weekly or monthly periods
- Cumulative — sum of measurements in the period
- Average Based — mean of measurements
- Threshold Based — 0% until the threshold, then 100%
- Growth Rate — percentage change from baseline
- Boolean — 0% or 100%
Stepwise, Cumulative, and Average Based need a period: weekly or monthly. Threshold Based needs a minimum threshold.
Metric
Optional. Choose a metric so current value updates when that metric is recorded. No metric leaves the result manual. See Metrics.
Initiatives
Optional. Link the initiatives that contribute to this result. Unlinking does not delete the initiative.
