Project labels

Organize projects with workspace labels and filter lists by those labels.

Organize projects with labels that fit how your workspace groups work.

Overview

Project labels categorize projects. Initiatives group projects under a strategic outcome; labels are a looser dimension you can filter and group by.

Project labels are a separate catalog from issue labels. Applying a project label does not label the issues inside it.

Create a project label or group

Create and manage them in Settings → Labels at /settings/labels/projects (Project labels). Workspace managers author that catalog. You can also create a label from the label menu on a project.

As with issue label groups, a project may carry only one label from a given group.

Filtering and grouping

Press F on Projects and add a Labels filter. Display options (Shift V) can group the list by label.

On a project, set labels from the sidebar, the overview, or with L on a selected row. Bulk Add labels… updates several projects at once.

Project templates can pre-set labels.

List project label columns

Display options can show a Labels column on the Projects list. It is off by default. When it is on, labels sit in that column instead of only in the name track.
