Project status
Set a project's lifecycle status so lists and timelines stay accurate.
Project statuses clarify where each project is in its lifecycle.
Overview
Status is the lifecycle field on a project. It appears next to the name in lists, boards, and Timeline. It is not Health — health comes from status updates.
Statuses are:
Idea, Discovery, Proposal, Accepted, Ready, In Progress, Paused, Maintenance, Completed, and Canceled.
New projects default to Idea. Completing every issue does not change status on its own.
Change a project's status
- Press
Son a selected project - Open the project and edit Status
- Right-click a project, or use bulk Change project status…
Mark finished work Completed (or Canceled if it will not ship) so portfolio lists stay accurate.
Press F on Projects and add a Status filter. Display options (Shift V) can group by status.
