Triage Intelligence
Use AI suggestions to classify incoming requests, detect duplicates, and route work in triage.
Suggest request properties and related work while a team triages intake.
Overview
Triage Intelligence analyzes requests in Triage. It infers team, project, labels, type, and priority, and it surfaces duplicate and related work.
It runs on requests, not issues. Suggestions appear on the request while it is in the team's triage queue. Accept or decline still happens through the usual triage actions (1 / 2 / 3 / 4).
Available when request Triage is on for the workspace. If Triage Intelligence is missing, ask a workspace admin to enable it.
Configure
A workspace admin turns the capability on from workspace features (Settings → Administration → Workspace). Team configuration lives at Settings → Your teams → <team> → Triage Intelligence.
On the team page you can:
- Enable or disable Triage Intelligence for that team
- Choose whether suggestions come from the Entire workspace or This team and sub-teams
- Name who is Responsible for the queue (accountability only — it does not grant access)
- Optionally Wait for intelligence suggestions before assigning new triage requests
If you'd prefer a team not to use suggestions, turn the switch off on that team's page.
Request property suggestions
When a request enters triage, Pulse Agent researches similar requests, issues, and projects, then suggests:
- Team
- Project
- Labels
- Type
- Priority
Each suggestion can be applied, dismissed, or inspected. Hover a suggestion to see why it was made. Open Show thinking… from the overflow menu to read the research trail.
Triage Intelligence does not suggest an assignee. A request has no assignee; a reviewer is set when you accept or decline.
Request property suggestion behavior
For each property kind, choose Show, Auto-apply, or Hide.
By default a behavior applies to every value of that kind. For team, project, and label you can Add filter so the rule only covers specific values. Type and priority stay as whole-kind rules.
Duplicate and relationship detection
When a request looks like existing work, a suggestion appears to mark it as a duplicate or as related. Hover to see why. Apply Mark as duplicate or Mark as related, or dismiss it.
Refine suggestion behavior
On the team page, Guidance (AI prompt rules) adds extra instructions for that team's suggestions. Use it when routing is consistently off — for example, which labels belong to which product area.
Triggering on requests outside Triage
You can still ask for suggestions on a request that is not in the triage queue.
To run suggestions on the open request:
- Open the request
- Press
Cmd/CtrlK - Choose Find suggestions
The card on the request updates when results are ready. Run again repeats the analysis.
