Filters

Narrow issue lists with filters, then save the combination as a view.

Filters

Filters allow you to refine a list so it shows only the relevant issues.

Filters help narrow a view to the work at hand. Use them on issue lists to focus on assignees, statuses, labels, projects, cycles, and more.

Use filters when reviewing active work, checking ownership, or sharing a focused list.

Apply filters

Open the filter menu or press F to choose the criteria to apply. Type in Add Filter… if you already know the property name. A list can have several filters at once.

As filters are applied, the list updates. The address bar updates too — copy the URL to share the same filters.

The exact filters depend on the page — assignees, statuses, labels, projects, cycles, and more.

To keep a combination, save it as a view.

Working with filters

A few nuances:

  • Click the operator on a chip (is, is not) to change it. Click the value to pick another option.
  • Date filters use before or after, plus a relative time or a custom date.
  • Display options (Shift V) control sort, grouping, and visible properties. They are not filters.

Build with operators

Once you add a filter, refine it with operators. The operators Pulse shows depend on the field and how many values you pick:

  • is or is not when one option is included
  • is any of or is not any of when several options are included
  • before or after for dates
  • contains on some text fields
