Views
Save filter, sort, and display combinations and reopen them from the Views browser or entity lists.
Views
Views (saved views) store how you filter, sort, and display a list — so you can reopen the same slice of work without rebuilding filters each time.
Where views appear
- Views browser — open Views from the Workspace section (
/views) to browse, create, and manage saved views. - Entity lists — apply a saved view with
?savedView={id}on issue, project, initiative, and other list pages. - Team context — open Views under a team to see team-scoped views (
/views?team=…). - Placements — some surfaces (for example project issue tabs) can pin saved views as tabs.
Settings link Saved views redirects to the Views browser.
Supported pages
Saved views attach to list pages such as:
- Issues, Projects, Initiatives, Objectives, North Stars
- Cycles, Metrics, Requests, Releases
Each saved view records filters, sort, grouping, and visible properties for one page type.
Scopes
When you create a view, choose who can use it:
| Scope | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Personal | Only you |
| Team | Members of the selected team |
| Workspace | Everyone in the workspace (with list access) |
You need permission to create workspace- or team-scoped views on the underlying entity.
Create a view
Open a list (Issues, Projects, …) and set filters, sort, grouping, and columns the way you want.
Open the view menu and choose Save view (or create from the Views browser).
Name the view, pick scope (personal, team, or workspace), and save.
Reopen it from Views or from the view picker on that list page.
Layout vs saved view
Do not confuse two URL parameters:
savedView— a stored filter/sort/display preset (this topic).view— layout mode on some pages (list, board, timeline, …).
A saved view can be applied while you switch layouts on supported pages.
Permissions
Creating views requires create permission on saved views for the chosen scope. Editing or deleting follows update/delete permission on the view row.
If Views is missing from the sidebar, your role may lack list access or the workspace may restrict the surface.
