Getting Started

North Star

High-level organizational goal (typically 3-5 for the entire organization). All team objectives must connect to one or more North Stars.

Create an Objective

1. Click + or "Add Objective"
2. Enter objective name (required)
3. Select a North Star
4. Add description and time period (optional)

Example: "Reduce delivery costs" → North Star: "P&L Improvement"

Add Key Results

Key Result is a measurable outcome that tracks progress toward an objective. Each Key Result has baseline, target, and current values with auto-calculated progress (0-100%). Key Results can connect to Metrics for automatic value updates.

To connect a Key Result to an Objective:

1. On the Objective page, click + or "Add Key Result"
2. Enter Key Result name
3. Set baseline and target values
4. Select measurement type

Example: "Reduce cost per delivery by 25%"

Metrics

• Metric: Quantitative measurement tracked over time (e.g., "Delivery cost per order")
• Measure: A Metric value at a specific time (e.g., "$2.50 on Jan 1")

Key Results can connect to Metrics for automatic value updates.

Add Initiatives

Initiative is a work item that needs to be completed to achieve a Key Result.

To connect an Initiative to a Key Result:

1. On the Key Result page, click + or "Add Initiative"
2. Enter Initiative name
3. Initiative connects to the Key Result

Example: "Optimize routes"
